Hello Kalyan, I read about Integreater and was wondering if you would be interested in contributing to the dialogue on social business and leadership with a group of top level executives from global company Suez Environment? I am a Project Manager with WDHB, an unconventional consulting firm based in San Francisco, CA, and specialized in the design and organization of executive education programs, or Learning Expeditions, for European executives, using experiential and innovative methods rather than traditional seminars or classroom training. We are currently working with SITA, the waste management division of the SUEZ ENVIRONMENT Group, one of the world leaders in environmental services. From the 16th to the 21st of January 2012, 22 general and regional directors of SITA will participate to a week-long program (3 days in Bangalore, 3 days in Hong Kong) in order to be exposed to fresh perspectives & different thinking models and work practices around innovation and sustainability. In Bangalore, they will meet with various innovative leaders, as well as share insights with peers and experts on the aforementioned themes. I would be honored to invite you for an informal chat over dinner, to expose Integreater's mission, methods and collaboration processes, as well as the actual achievements of your work. I believe this would provide priceless inspiration to the group and be one of the highlights of their week. Moreover, you would help provide the VC perspective to the dialogue on social entrepreneurship. On the other hand, I'm truly convinced that the high level of participation from SITA's side would make this an interesting and valuable dialogue for both sides. Moreover, this dinner will feature a number of social entrepreneurs and organizations that exemplify the use of technology and innovation for positive impact, which will provide an opportunity of networking with like-minded Bangalore entrepreneurs. The best thing that could be done towards bringing more people towards the correct side of the Line of poverty is to understand their plight and be deny any people trying to make a fortune out of someone's poverty. All NGO's need posh offices, generous grants and lot of monetary support. I would love to see some hard numbers, and not sob stories on how much actually reaches the needy people. IF EVERYBODY STOPPED MAKING PROFIT OF OTHER'S MISERY, INDIA WOULD SEE A NARROWER INCOME DISPARITY. Thanks, Sharad |
